Beginners module 1 class (3-6 students)
Starting Wednesday, 6 October, 7.45-9.15pm
10 weeks/15 hours of tuition (3 students), 11 weeks (4 students), 12 weeks (5 students), 13 weeks (6 students)
You will learn
- The numbers and the alphabet
- to introduce yourself and others
- to give basic information about yourself (age, profession, hobbies etc.)
- to ask simple questions
- how to describe basic objects
- the conjugation of regular and strong verbs in the present tense
- conjugation of "haben" and "sein"
- the genders, definite and indefinite article, possessive article
- singular and plural, first introduction to nominative and accusative
case
- to talk about food and groceries

Beginners module 3 classes (3-6 students)
Starting Wednesday, 21 July, 6-7.30pm: 10 weeks (3 students), 11 weeks (4 students), 12 weeks (5 students), 13 weeks (6 students). This class has now started with 3 students. You can join if you have the right level.
You will learn
· - lots of new vocabulary and vocabulary fields of your choice
·- parts of your body and health
· - more about possessive articles
· - more about modal verbs
· - more about accusative, dative and prepositions
· - the imperative
· - the German "spoken" past tense (the "Perfekt")
·- The "Perfekt" will be the main focus of this module.
You will learn the forms of 100 important verbs and then apply them while
talking about the past, e.g. your last weekend, holiday, birthday. Students
usually experience the "Perfekt" as very empowering, as you
can talk about so much more knowing how to expres the past.

The German Film and Conversation Club is suitable for advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced students as well as German native speakers. Dive into German language and culture by watching a German film and socialising in an informal atmosphere before and after the screening. Nibbles, softdrinks and wine are included in the evening. £4 per evening, every first Sunday every other months.
