The German Film &
Conversation Club ..

Dive into German language and culture by watching a German film and socialising in an informal atmospherebefore and after the screening. The club is suitable for every level from advanced beginner to native speaker. A glass of wine and a soft drinks are included. and tasty nibbles are included in the eveng. We normally meet every other months on the first Sunday.

Sunday, 2 October, 2011, 6-9pm

BRD 2010 , Regie: Ralf Westhoff. Mit Julia Koschitz, Felix Hellmann und Katharina, Marie Schubert. Claire liebt Leo. Und Leo liebt Claire. Seit zwei Jahren sind sie ein Paar und glücklich - meistens jedenfalls. Denn eigentlich passen sie gar nicht zusammen: Claire schreibt gerne romantische Endlos- SMS und will alles ausdiskutieren, Leo hasst SMS, statt über ihre Beziehung zu reden, genießt er lieber unbeschwert den letzten schönen Herbsttag. Sie hat Angst vor Krankheiten, er weniger, sie repariert ihr Fahrrad selbst, er sieht das gar nicht ein und geht lieber wandern. Claire hat das Gefühl, Leo ist nicht richtig bei ihr, er sieht durch sie hindurch, vergisst sie, sobald sie ihm aus dem Blickwinkel gerät. Leo hingegen ist überfordert, er hätte gerne eine Claire-Gebrauchsanweisung. Wie geht das eigentlich, zusammen glücklich sein? Im Erzählen über sich und den anderen, über hohe Ideale, eigene Sehnsüchte, kleine Schwächen und Alltagsschlamassel, über Streit und Versöhnung versuchen sie herauszufinden, ob ihre Liebe eine Zukunft hat.

The Film Club is a non-commercial, educational event and subsidised by German Tuition. We only have 18 seats and sometimes more bookings than seats. Please only book if you can realisticly make it and if you cannot make it after all please let us know so that we can offer your seat to another person.
